Students will receive via email their Student ID 'w' number within 2-3 business days
(during business hours) of completing the application. Students must complete the
core services (orientation, assessment and educational planning) by the college established
deadline in order to be eligible for priority registration.
Please note: Students returning after an absence of one or more years must complete an Admissions Application for New Students to reactivate their status as a student.
Any person who meets at least one of the following requirements is eligible to attend Modesto Junior College:
Special Part-Time Students must complete an online application in addition to the Special Part-Time Petition for Advanced Admission forms. The Advanced Admission forms are available to print and must be submitted in-person to the Enrollment Services Office. Special Part-Time Students must meet all eligibility requirements as outlined on the Petition for Advanced Admission form. Eligible students are welcome to register for credit courses numbered 50-299; and up to 11 units without additional approval. To register for 11.5 or more units as a Special Full-Time student, students must have the written approval of their school district's Board of Trustees as well as the Modesto Junior College Dean of Enrollment Services.
International students must apply for admission through the MJC International Student Program located in the Student Center, East Campus.
