Modesto Junior College (MJC) is one of six colleges receiving funding made available through drought-aid legislation signed into law earlier in 2014 by Governor Jerry Brown. An agreement signed by The California Labor and Workforce Development Agency (LWDA), the Employment Training Panel (ETP), and the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) provides training to workers and employers in the California areas hit hardest by the drought. The Irrigation Technician Training is to assist workers and employers in adapting more efficient irrigation techniques.
|Prospective trainees are required to fill out an application form with a self-certification component. You can fill out the form online, however you need to print the form and sign the application. The MJC Staff will then review the application forms. Trainees accepted into either training program will receive training at NO COST to the individual. (Click here for the Application form)|
