Behavior Policy

Members of the Yosemite Community College District embrace the value of civility, which promotes mutual respect, fairness, concern for the common good, and politeness. The diversity of thought and ideas, on which an academic community thrives, is best maintained by a policy of respect and civility.
Campus Life Policy
Staff and students conducting business as part of Campus Life & Student Learning will do so in a professional manner. There will be zero tolerance for behavior (s) that are attacking, abusive, uncivil, unfair, or impolite. Such behaviors will result in disciplinary actions. This may include for staff and students, loss or suspension from Campus Life programs, clubs, activities or events.
Complaint Process
As is the case for every department on campus, students and staff have the right and are encouraged to voice their opinions should there be an issue or situation with which a student or staff disagrees. In the Campus Life & Student Learning Department, the following steps can be taken to resolve issues:
Student Workers- If at any time there is an issue with any of the Campus Life student workers on either campus, please report it to a Campus Life Staff member.
ASMJC Member- If at any time there is an issue with any of the members of ASMJC on either campus, please report it to the Campus Life Director Alejandra Espinoza.
Club Issues-If at any time there is any issue concerning clubs, please report it to Campus Life & Student Learning Director Alejandra Espinoza
Campus Life Manager-If at any time there is an issue with the Campus Life & Student Learning Director Alejandra Espinoza, please report it to the Dean of Student Services Matthew Lopez Phillips
* Students and Club Advisors please note, complaints and concerns must follow proper protocol. This means complaints and concerns should be addressed at the first level and work their way up. Persons with complaints who choose to skip protocol or steps will be re-directed at each level to follow the proper process.
