Anna Maria Magallon -

Anna Maria has a passion for life. She is an author, poet, actor, parent trainer, movie producer, and public speaker who enjoys helping others.Anna Maria currently teaches Spanish and Academic Language Development for junior high school students.
Despite many economic and personal obstacles, she graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg and completed her M.A. in Spanish Language and Culture at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
She has received a plethora of accolades including the Modesto Bee’s Outstanding Hispanic in the field of Education in 2003 and the Teacher of the Year in 2013 by AMAE of Stanislaus County.
Gisele Flores -

Gisele Flores is a Professor of Child Development and the current President of the Academic Senate at Modesto Junior College. In addition to her work at MJC, Gisele is also an IDEA consultant and an Early Interventionist supporting administrators, teachers, and children in our community.
Gisele holds a Master's Degree in Child Development from Sacramento State University, a Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Disorders from San Francisco State University, and an Associate's Degree from MJC.
As a first-generation college graduate and former teen mother, her mission is to create an educational environment where students know that they belong and are provided with the tools to overcome any barriers life presents, and are empowered to pursue their dreams.
