The Modesto Junior College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers are celebrating the holiday season with Make the Yuletide Bright on Friday, December 7 at 7 p.m. in the Performing and Media Arts Center Auditorium on the East Campus, 435 College Ave., Modesto.
The choirs are performing the music of Britten, Conte, Hairston, Lauridsen, Rutter, and Cahn and Styne. The event features a staged presentation of the final scene of Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol,” including Tiny Tim. At the conclusion of the concert, audience members have an opportunity to participate in a sing-a-long of traditional Christmas carols.
Tickets may be purchased at the MJC Box Office, Tuesday – Friday, 12 – 5 p.m., or by calling (209) 575-6776 during these hours. Tickets are $6 for general admission and $5 for students, seniors, and children. Tickets may also be purchased at the door beginning 90 minutes prior to the performance. Campus parking is free for the evening beginning at 5 p.m.The community is invited to bring the family and spend part of their holiday season enjoying an evening of Yuletide choral music on Friday, December 7 at MJC.
