Modesto Junior College Athletics and the MJC Foundation will hold a Football Kickoff Dinner on Saturday, August 29, in the Agriculture Pavilion on West Campus, 2201 Blue Gum Avenue in Modesto.
The fundraiser will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner, an auction and an opportunity drawing.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the Pirates’ new head football coach, Rusty Stivers.
Tickets are $125 per couple and include two 2015 season passes to MJC’s home football games. Kickoff Dinner tickets may be purchased by calling (209) 575-6068 or online at www.modestojcfoundation.org. ($85 of the cost is considered a tax deductible contribution.)
MJC’s home football games are scheduled for the following Saturdays in the Stadium on East Campus:
September 5, 6 p.m. – MJC vs. American River College (Halftime presentation of the 1980 MJC Football National Championship team.)
September 19, 6 p.m. – MJC vs. Diablo Valley College
October 3, 6 p.m. – MJC vs. San Francisco City College
October 17, 6 p.m. – MJC vs. College of the Sequoias (Homecoming)
November 7, 1 p.m. – MJC vs. Fresno City CollegeGeneral admission to home games is $9, students and seniors are $5, children ages 7 through 11 are $3, and 6 years and under are free.
