MJC stages August: Osage County, a dark comedy of family dysfunction
The Modesto Junior College Theater Department presents the dark comedy-drama August: Osage County on December 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Little Theatre of the Performing Arts Center on East Campus, 435 College Avenue, Modesto.
What do you get when you mix a drunkard father, a pill popping mother, and a family that is ripping apart at the seams? You get Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize winning play August: Osage County.
The play follows an estranged family and what happens when they are brought back together under the worst of circumstances. The play is wildly entertaining and will leave you laughing, crying and wondering.

The play is directed by MJC Professor of Theater Arts Lynette Borrelli-Glidewell. Costumes will be designed by Anne Shanto and Ty Helton will provide set and lighting design for the production.
