MJC hosts Career and Technical Education Open House
Modesto Junior College invites businesses, students and the community to participate in a Career Technical Education (CTE) Expo on Tuesday, February 26, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Agriculture Center for Education Pavilion located on West Campus, 2201 Blue Gum Avenue, Modesto. Held in celebration of National Career and Technical Education Month, the event is free and parking on West Campus is free during event hours on Feb. 26.
Current and potential MJC students, local high school students, parents/guardians and community members can explore career building programs, experience hands-on activities, gain employability skills and network with industries throughout the region at the CTE Expo.
Businesses can gain visibility, increase their campus brand and meet potential employees as they interact with the students who are exploring employment and internship opportunities. Participants come eager to learn the necessary skills local companies require, network with business representatives and learn what they have to offer.
The event showcases a variety of employment opportunities available in local industries and businesses serving the Central Valley, including agriculture, health care, business, manufacturing and more. The layout in the Pavilion features a designated section for each major CTE area served at Modesto Junior College.
