Fall Visiting Author Series features Dimitri Keriotis
The Modesto Junior College Fall Visiting Author Series will host a book reading by Dimitri Keriotis on Tuesday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Forum 110 on East Campus, 435 College Avenue, Modesto. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in student lots for $2 without a permit.
Keriotis, a Professor of English at MJC, will read from his debut collection of short stories, The Quiet Time, which was published by SFA Press in September 2014.
His stories have appeared in Beloit Fiction Journal, Georgetown Review, Evening Street Review, Flyway, and Boarder Senses.
Raised in Northern California, Professor Keriotis received a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Santa Cruz; Master of Arts degree from University of Nevada, Reno, and Master of Fine Arts from California State University, Chico. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Zaire and Bolivia. Keriotis currently co-coordinates the High Sierra Institute, an offering of summer classes held at Baker Station.
