Campus Life Awards

Each year the Modesto Junior College Campus Life & Student Learning department hosts a Gala to recognize the outstanding performances of students participating in campus extra-curricular activities.  At the Gala a variety of awards will be given out including Student of the Year, Senator of the Year, Club of the Year, and Club Advisor of the Year.

Student of the Year

The Student of the Year award is given to a student who has accomplished the following:

  • Has demonstrated academic excellence by maintaining an above average grade point average
  • Participated in any of the following activities: Athletics, Theater, Music, Campus Clubs, Speech Teams, Agriculture Teams, Project LEAD or Associated Students positions.
  • Have been an active part of campus activities
  • Is on track to receive a Certificate, Associates Degree, or Transfer
