Important MJC Spring Updates for Students
Spring, 2024
Dear MJC Student Pirates:
Welcome to the Spring Semester! Faculty, staff and your peers have been working hard to make sure that you feel welcomed and that you belong here at MJC. Again, welcome to the MJC family for our new students and welcome back to our continuing students! We want you to be successful in your education and future career. I want to offer you the following information, updates and reminders to ensure you make the most of your MJC student experience.
Student Services is starting several new projects for students this Spring to enhance your MJC experience, as well as increase your sense of belonging and support. We are introducing new innovations that include the new mobile and physical ID cards. The mobile ID can also be used as your StanRTA bus pass. For more information on how to access your new ID card, please visit New Student ID @ MJC! - MJC. Additionally, we will be implementing a new student portal, MyMJC, that will replace PiratesNet. We plan to transition to the new user-friendly portal sometime in March.
New location openings and renovations of spaces for the new Welcome Center, Wellness Center, and several affinity spaces will also be introduced this spring. More information will be forthcoming regarding the grand openings. Also, be on the lookout for the unveiling of the brand new Petey & Penelope mascots!
If you have friends or family interested in enrolling at MJC in the summer or fall, please have them attend our New Student Welcome Day on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Please RSVP at New Student Day - MJC.
