The primary role of the MJC Campus Safety Committee is to promote campus safety, security, and emergency preparedness to endeavor to create a safe and secure learning and working environment for the campus community.

Duties:

• Review and make recommendations on campus safety and security issues brought forth by employees and students
• Provide guidance, support, and recommendations regarding safety policies and programs
• Assists with emergency procedures planning and programming
• Periodically review reports of accidents, incidents, and injuries that occur on campus
• Recommend appropriate action to mitigate adverse trends
• Provides oversight of the Environmental, Safety, and Security Plan
