Scholarship Applications are Open September 28th, 2026 to November 6th, 2026.
The scholarship application and all information submitted is confidential.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Have a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA (current high school seniors will use their
cumulative GPA from high school)
Have completed or be currently enrolled in 10 - 12 units
Be a student in good standing at Modesto Junior College
Submit a complete application, adhering carefully to all instructions
Plan to enroll as a full-time student
Important Information
This is a one application for all process
Students are now able to upload a video submission or write an essay
As you complete the online application, please take your time and read over the instructions
as they pertain to each module of the online application.
Recommendations
Students are required to have one online recommendation from an instructor. A second
recommendation is optional but strongly recommended.
Recommendations from family, friends and co-workers will be rejected!
Optional File Uploads
At the end the application you will come to a section for optional file uploads. Things
you can upload include:
artwork
photographs
short stories/poetry
certificates/awards
videos
Remember, the committee member or donor who reads your application doesn’t know you,
so make every effort to share as much as you can.
Checklist Before Hitting the Submit Button
I have completed ALL sections of the application!
My essay or video clearly states my major and future plans as they pertain to my major.
An unofficial transcript that includes all grades has been scanned and uploaded to
the application as a PDF.
The 1 recommendation that is required from an instructor and the second is optional
but can be from another instructor, school official, counselor, or employer (only
if the employment can be connected to your major). No family, friends, mentors or
co-workers!
