ConferZoom (Zoom) is paid for by the California Community College Chancellor’s Office, which means it’s free for faculty and staff. Students can click on a link to join your meeting (they do not need to register).
How to Open a ConferZoom Account
Yosemite Community College District has instituted multi-factor authentication for employee accounts. Learn more about multi-factor authentication.
The ACCJC (Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges) has updated its guidelines for online education, defining and requiring "regular and substantive" interaction between students and instructors in online courses. Distance Education regulation requires online courses to support regular (such as weekly office hours) and substantive (such as personalized assessment feedback) interactions between students and their instructor.
In response to ACCJC regulation changes, the Modesto Junior College (MJC) Academic Senate revised its RSI Guidance Statement in Spring 2025. To help with reviewing your courses, please refer to the Regular Substantive Interaction Rubric Form (PDF).
If you would like to learn more about RSI, MJC's updated regulations, and faculty examples, self-paced training is available. Please reach out to any in the Online Education team for more information and access.
