Modesto Junior College recognizes that its curriculum and course offerings must be responsive to the needs of the students and the community that it serves, and that the college must continue to support its mission and goals of individual programs. Program Review is an ongoing, systematic process that is used to assess and improve student learning and achievement within each program offered at the college. The results of Program Review are used to continually improve and refine our programs to best support students' educational goals and achievement of those goals.
The 2024-2026 Program Review Cycle kicked off during the Spring 2024 semester with the completion of a Full Program Review.
2024-2026 Full Program Review Submissions
Mid-Cycle Program Progress Reports for the 2024-2026 cycle will be completed during the Fall 2025 semester. To assist departments in completing their Program Progress Reports, the Office of Research & Planning and MJC Data Coaches has developed the following resources in the tabs below:
The Mid-Cycle Program Progress Reports are completed halfway through MJC’s two-year Program Review cycle. This template is used to provide departments the opportunity to reflect on progress toward the goals set in their last Program Review, identify potential areas for improvement, and request additional resources to help meet their goals.
The progress report has three sections meant to guide departments through an intentional reflection on their goal and activity progress and identify next steps for the remainder of the 2-year cycle.
The Program Progress Report template consists of two documents: the Fall 2025 Progress Report and the Action Planning Spreadsheet (linked within the Progress Report template).
To submit your department's Progress Report, upload the completed documents.
These workshops will provide an overview of the Mid-Cycle Program Review Progress Report process, including the Progress Report Template, timeline, and helpful resources available to faculty, classified professionals, and administrators to assist them in reviewing their department's progress toward achieving their 2024-2026 Program Review Goals.
Department Leads (identified based on Spring 2024 Program Review submissions) will receive access to their department's Progress Report template via email. Deans will be copied on the email to ensure proper routing of templates in case Leads have changed.
Working Sessions will be held to assist Department Leads with completing their department's Progress Report.
