Applications are now being accepted for the September Forklift Training.

To apply, you must first be a Modesto Junior College (MJC) student. If you are not currently an MJC student, you will need to complete the MJC admissions process before applying for the training.

Once you have obtained your MJC student ID, please call (209) 575-6301 to schedule an appointment to complete the Forklift Training application in person.

Space is limited, and qualified applicants will be contacted with training details.

Capacitación de Montacargas en Septiembre – ¡Ahora Aceptando Solicitudes!

Ya estamos aceptando solicitudes para la Capacitación de Montacargas de septiembre.

Para solicitar, primero debe ser estudiante de Modesto Junior College (MJC). Si actualmente no es estudiante de MJC, deberá completar el proceso de admisión antes de solicitar ingreso a la capacitación.

Una vez que tenga su número de estudiante de MJC, llame al (209) 575-6301 para programar una cita y completar la solicitud de inscripción para la capacitación de montacargas en persona.

El cupo es limitado y los solicitantes que califiquen serán contactados con los detalles de la capacitación.

Please note that trainings are not continuously available throughout the year. New sessions are scheduled periodically, depending on instructor and facility availability. 

This training program will provide classroom instruction and hands-on training that includes the types and fundamentals of operating forklifts with the understanding in the workplace.

Included topics: Truck controls and instrumentation, engine/motor operation, and workplace understanding.  The training will also include any vehicle inspection and maintenance that the operator will be required to perform, and any other operating instructions, warnings, or precautions listed in the operator’s manual for the types of forklifts that the employee is being trained to operate.

For Forklift training, you must attend BOTH mandatory classes:

  • 4-hour training in person 
  • 4-hour hands-on instruction at MJC West Campus. 

 

Cal OSHA 10 Training Description

This training program will provide entry-level workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job-related hazards on a job site. 

For Cal OSHA certification, you must attend BOTH mandatory classes:

  • Two (2) - 5-hour classes in person.
