Upon graduation from Oregon State University at Corvallis, Helen began her teaching career at a Lanham Act shipyard preschool in Vanport, Oregon near Portland. She continued as a preschool and kindergarten teacher in San Francisco. In 1965 she began her twenty-five year association with MJC. Helen was a Lifetime Member of NAEYC. She was an active member and past president of the American Association of University Women and League of Women Voters of Stanislaus County.
Each spring we honor our Child Development Graduates and Certificate and Scholarship Recipients with a reception in Helen’s honor. The reception this year is scheduled for Monday, April 15th. Click here for a flyer with details regarding the event for 2019. Below find links to each year’s program.

April 24 is the last day JM 157 will be open until 6:30 this Spring. The office will close at 5:00 on Weds., May 1st and summer hours begin Mon., May 6th.
