If your SAP result is: Satisfactory, Appeal Satisfactory or Appeal Approved, your “Satisfactory Academic Progress” is in good standing!

To remain in good standing each semester, you must continue to meet the following criteria:
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, AND
An evaluation of your appeal, academic history and educational goal has been completed. Your appeal request has been approved!
Note: If you have already earned a Bachelor's Degree, your appel approval is for loan consideration only. BA Degree holders do not qualify for other types of financial aid at MJC. For loan information and to apply, go to LOANS.
To continue in good standing while on Financial Aid Probation (within the academic year), you must comply with the conditions of the Appeal Contract and meet the following criteria:
To return to “Satisfactory” standing and be removed from Financial Aid Probation in future semesters, you must meet all of the following criteria:
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, AND
Complete a minimum of 67% of your cumulative attempted units, AND
Have not earned an AA/AS degree or beyond, AND
Have attempted less than 150% of the published length of your program:
90 Units Allowed: To complete a 60-unit AA/AS degree, 4-yr transfer, or vocational program
45 Units Allowed: To earn a Certificate of Achievement
Your appeal approval has moved forward. No further action is required!
Based on your progress from the previous semester, you met your appeal probation requirements.
To remain in good standing while on Financial Aid Probation, you must continue to meet these Probation standards and comply with the conditions of the Appeal Contract that you already submitted.
To return to Satisfactory standing and be removed from Probation, you must meet the following criteria:
