Financial Aid Appeal

1. Retrieve your counselor-approved Educational Plan
2. Gather any other documentation you want to submit with your appeal.

To access your education plan:

• Log into your MyMJC Student Portal.
• Click on your Academic Profile tile and choose Starfish: 
• Click on the 3 horizontal lines next to "Starfish" on the menu bar (top left)
• Click on "Degree Planner"
• Select your current Educational Plan
• Press "print", then under "Destination" select to save as a PDF
• Attach your Educational Plan to the appeal submission

1. Complete all questions on the Appeal Form.
2. Attach your Educational Plan and any documents to your appeal submission.
3. Submit your request

Please Note: Incomplete Appeals will be returned as unprocessed.

Once you submit your appeal, you can confirm that the request was received by going to your Self-Service Portal.  Please allow 3-5 business days for your appeal to be logged in so that you can view your status.

Once an appeal decision is made, you will receive an email reply.  Please allow 2-4 weeks processing time.  Additional time may be required if we are waiting for Summer grades to be posted by your instructors before we can make a decision on your appeal.
