Dropping units during the semester will cause the financial aid award to be recalculated at the time of the 2nd refund date. For example, if you are funded as a full-time student and then drop to half-time by the second refund date, you would only be eligible for your first refund (50%). You would be considered paid completely as a half-time student and would NOT receive a second refund.

Q: Why do I owe an overpayment?
A: Based on your enrollment status on the first day of school or with in the first half
of the semester, you were issued a Pell Grant refund which was half of your team award.
Since your enrollment status changed, your entire term award is less than your first
refund.
Q: What happens if I don't pay back my overpayment?
A: If we do not receive your repayment within 45 days of your overpayment email, we must
submit your name and obligation amount to the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) for
collection. You would then be ineligible to receive Financial Aid at any U.S. college
until your overpayment has been resolved.
Q: Can I make payment arrangements?
A: In some cases, YES, however, you must contact our office on or before the 45 day of
your overpayment email notification.
