The goal of the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Respiratory Care is: To provide graduates of entry into respiratory care professional practice degree programs with additional knowledge, skills, and attributes in leadership, management, education, research, or advanced clinical practice both to meet their current professional goals and to prepare them for practice as advanced degree respiratory therapists.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for Respiratory Care Practitioners is expected to grow by 19% by 2022, due in part to the growth in the middle-aged and elderly population that experience the deleterious impact of cardiopulmonary diseases. According to the California Society of Respiratory Care, the industry is moving toward bachelor degree holding Respiratory Care Practitioners.
