How to Host an Internal Event

An internal event is an event organized by an MJC program, club, department or School.

  • Facility Use Fees are not charged for internal events. Staffing fees or other resources are funded by internal stakeholders.
  • Allow 14 days for event planning if the event excludes marketing, alcohol, fundraising and/or raffle.
STEP 1: Reserve a Space or Facility

Contact MJC Events/Facilities Department at mjcevents@yosemite.edu, (209) 575-6876 or enter in EMS

STEP 2: Is the Use of a Specialty Facility Being Requested?

Specialty facilities include Caberet West, Little Theatre, Recital Hall, Performing Arts Center, Mary Stuart Rogers

YES
  • Complete a Spec Sheet
    • Contact Events/Facilities Department to submit the form.
NO
  • Proceed to Step 3
Step 3: Will you be serving food at this event?
YES
  • Contact Events/Facilities Department by phone at 209-575-6020 or email.
    • Completion of a Food Vendor Agreement may be required.
NO
  • Proceed to Step 4
Step 4: Will you need design or marketing services for this activity?
YES
  • Submit an online Design Request Form.
    • You will be contacted by Marketing & Public Relations within 3 business days.
    • Allow a minimum of 30 days for creation of marketing materials and promotion of the event.

  • Proceed to Step 5
Step 5: Is your event a fundraiser or will you be holding a raffle?*
YES
  • Complete a signed Request for Approval Fund Drive or Solicitations Form (not required for MJC Student Clubs) Contact Events/Facilities Department at (209) 575-6020 or email.
    • *Requires reporting after the event. 
NO
  • Proceed to Step 6
Step 6: Will you be serving alcohol?
YES
  • Complete and submit an application for an Alcohol Permit.
    • Contact the MJC Foundation at (209) 575-6619. 
    • Allow 90 days to obtain an alcohol permit.
