Workshops. Success specialists are here to assist you with completing your scholarship application, and the Library & Learning Center writing tutors will be available to assist with
your personal essay. Bring your personal laptop if you have one, as computers in
the lab are limited.

Qualifications to apply for MJC Scholarships:
Currently enrolled students who:
- Have a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA (current high school seniors will use their
cumulative GPA from high school)
- Have completed or be currently enrolled in 10 - 12 units
- Submit a complete application, adhering carefully to all instructions
New 26-27 Application Information:
- This is a "one application for all" process
- Students now have the option to upload a personal statement video submission OR a personal statement essay
Application Component-Recommendations
- Students are required to have one recommendation. Student will be prompted in the
application to submit a name and email address for their reference.
- The student's reference will then receive an email and be prompted to fill out the
recommendation on behalf of the student.
- Recommendations from family, friends and co-workers are not accepted.
The deadline to submit completed applications is November 6, 2026.
