Pride Scholars Grand Opening
We are celebrating the opening of the Pride Center in CAT-235 with a ribbon cutting,
pizza, and a trivia game in the Pride Center. Additionally, Pride Scholars staff (Jordan
Quiverns, Sam Osegueda, Yasmin Aguirre-Rodriguez, Ray Gonzales) will be presenting
on what our program offers, and MoPride, a community organization, will talk about
what services they offer to the local LGBTQ+ community.
This event will be open to the public as well as MJC students, but the emphasis will
be on registered MJC students. However, we would like people to come regardless of
their registered status so they can learn about the campus.
I'm not really sure how to fill almost a hundred more words in this document, as I
feel I have fairly concisely described what will be happening at the event, so instead
I am filling space with a run-on sentence in order to satisfy the wordcount of this
form, which may be a bit high; however, if I am missing anything, do let me know and
I will apologize for this snarky conclusion!
