Free Narcan Training

Modesto Junior College, in partnership with the SIERRA Program, Native American Student Support and Success Program (NASSSP), and Indigenous Peoples Alliance Club (I.P.A.C.), invites students to attend a free Narcan Training & Distribution Event presented by Native CORE.

Trainings will be offered on:

• September 9
• October 8
• November 5
• December 3

All trainings will be from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the Library Basement, Room 55.

Native CORE will provide education on overdose prevention and harm reduction. Students will learn how to recognize the signs of a suspected opioid overdose, respond safely and confidently, and properly administer Narcan (naloxone). Participants will also receive free Narcan, giving them a practical resource that could help save the life of a friend, family member, fellow student, or community member.

Refreshments will be provided, and no previous training or experience is required. Students are asked to please pre-register for the event.
