    Student IDs available this week on East Campus

    Campus Life & Student Learning will be providing Fall Bus Stickers and Student IDs to students enrolled in Fall courses from August 10 - 21 in the East Campus Student Center and West Campus Mary Stuart Rogers (MSR). Students may not bring family or friends with them and are expected to adhere to all social distancing directions. For additional questions please contact Carmen De La Cruz delacruzm@yosemite.edu

    MJC Alumna Continues to Advocate for Students with Appointment to UC Regents

    A University of California Board of Regents special committee has nominated Alexis Zaragoza to be the 2021-22 student regent. "I am a product of California Community Colleges, specifically MJC and that is a huge point of pride for me. MJC gave me my start and helped me figure out who I wanted to be. I am forever grateful and honored to give back and serve."

    Every semester the costume shop provides employment for several Federal Work Study students and as a result many of them end up loving the experience so much they stay. This summer as others might be basking in the sun, or reading books, these MJC students will be dedicating their time to keeping us all safe.

    Tania Barjesteh has service to others in her blood. Both her mother and her grandmother are nurses. A graduate of the MJC Nursing program in 2016, she currently works at Doctor's Medical Center. Like most MJC students, Barjesteh did not have a linear path into nursing; she worked as a Vet Tech before making the decision to go into nursing.

    Inter-departmental collaboration is alive and well at MJC! Dr. David Martin, Professor of Biology and Randy Thoe, Instructor of Manufacturing and Machine Tool Technology, collaborated on the creation of 3D PPE equipment to healthcare workers, but it was the addition of MJC student Andrei Burciu that scaled production!
