Wild Planet Day is Saturday September 24th from 10-3pm! Join us for a day of fun and festivities while we discover Wild Planet Day as we get batty! Be prepared to meet the Bat Lady who is sure to dazzle everyone with real live bats. We will have bat activities, including making bat houses, bat puppets and bats on a stick, science demonstrations, explore the use of microscopes and hands-on science activities. There will also be food for sale and a variety of vendor booths provided by campus and local organizations. Tickets are $8 or $20 for a family of 6. Click here to purchase tickets.
A special one night only chemistry show by Dr. Alchemist and the Mischiefs on Friday October 21st from 7-8:30pm. Free admission to the museum after the show. Please note while children are welcome, this show is intended for college students and adults. Click here to purchase tickets.
The Great Valley Museum will be open in the evenings, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., during the first Friday of every month. Discover the universe through our planetarium shows at 7:30pm & 8:30pm and Science on a Sphere 3-D globe. Campus science clubs will offer insight and highlights, including the MJC Astronomy Club which will provide free telescope viewings on top of the Science Community Center. Join us for a fun, festive atmosphere while we explore science together! Be sure to dress appropriately during the cold months.
During the fall and spring semesters on the first Wednesday of every month, the museum will be offering classes on a variety of science related subjects. These classes are suitable for 5 to 12 year olds. All Hands On Wednesday classes run from 3:30pm to 4:30pm and are held in the Discovery Room of the museum. Join us for a morning full of wonderful stories, songs, and a few wiggles! Bookworm Story Tellings run from 10:00am to 11:00am and are free with paid museum admission. Bookworm Story Telling is geared for 3-5 year olds. *Please note dates and/or subjects may change without notice.

Have you ever seen a skink? Do you know what one is? Come to a Live Animal Presentation to find out. Animal presentations run form 10:00am to 11:00am and are free with paid museum admission. Our animal presentations are aimed at our little visitors but who doesn't like turtles? *Please note dates may change without notice.

Parking on the MJC campus is $2 Monday - Friday. Please bring small bills. Parking is free after 5 pm on Fridays and all day on weekends. Please check our planetarium page for planetarium show times.
