Skip to Page Content.Skip to Main Menu.Skip to Site SearchComunidad Summer Enlace is an interactive one-week virtual academy designed to ease the transition into college for incoming first-year, Modesto Junior College (MJC) Latino/a/x students. Students can participate in the first session which will take place virtually, online via Zoom June 27-30 from 9am-11:45am, Monday-Thursday and the second session which will take place in on campus, in-person July 18-21 from 9am-11:45am, Monday-Thursday. Enlace is derived from the Spanish word enlazar, which means to unite, to connect, to link.
You will get an opportunity to engage and get familiar with MJC as you prepare to begin your first semester in college. Listen, converse, and learn from inspiring MJC Latino/a/x faculty, counselors, and staff. We will provide tips on navigating college, as you learn about MJC services and resources. Connect with other students and participate in interactive activities!
Transitioning to college is not an easy task, and due to COVID-19, the online environment has been a challenge to many students. Attending Comunidad Summer Enlace will provide you with an opportunity to be ready and prepared to succeed in college. Discover your support network and get connected!
