Spring Choral Concert: Odyssey

MJC and local musical talent will gather to celebrate diversity through the healing power of music featuring the song "Baba Yetu" sung in Swahili. "Baba Yetu" translates to the prayer, Our Father. This song is featured in the video game Civilization IV and won the 2011 Grammy award for a gaming soundtrack. The performancde is dedicated to former MJC music student, Mikalyn Metcalf who died April 2023. Please join us on 4/19 at 7pm at the Performing Arts and Media Center, Main Auditorium.

The Office of Campus Life & Student Learning recognizes the outstanding performance of students participating in Campus Life's programs, extracurricular activities and events. The Campus Life 7th Annual Gala is MJC's version of the Oscars held on April 24, from 6-10PM in the Mary Stuart Rogers Bldg. on the West Campus. For the first time, a college dance will follow after the awards ceremony. Tickets required for admission.

Representatives from MJC, CSU Stanislaus, Nursing, UC Davis, Nursing, UOP, Master of Social Work, U.S. Navy, Diablo Valley College, Dental Hygiene, and Samuel Merritt University Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Program will be present at the event. This event is open to all MJC students and the public.

The Modesto Junior College Department of Music presents The 47th Annual New Music Concert. The New Music Ccncert will take place on Friday April 12, 2024 at 7:00 pm at the Modesto Junior College Performing and Media Arts Center Main Stage on East Campus. The program will feature performances of original music compositions by student, faculty and local composers.
