The purpose of articulation is to facilitate the successful transfer of students from the community colleges to the baccalaureate colleges and universities.
Articulation is the process of evaluating courses to determine whether course work completed at one institution will meet requirements for admissions, transfer credit, general education or major preparation at another institution. Articulation agreements are formal written agreements signed by the faculty from the sending and receiving colleges and universities.
The Modesto Junior College articulation officer develops and coordinates course articulation between two-year institutions and baccalaureate granting universities. This process enables transfer students from MJC to complete a successful transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution.
