Funding Your Experience

Think going abroad is out of your budget?

Paying for a study abroad program is usually the biggest hurdle for students.  We have compiled a list of helpful resources for grants and scholarships that can assist with funding your global experience.  Our best advice to you is to plan early and create a special account for study abroad funds.

Financial Aid

  • FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Anyone who wants financial aid for college will need to fill out the FAFSA. The application is used to determine the dollar amount you or your family will be expected to contribute towards college. All federal grant and loan awards are determined by the FAFSA, and nearly all colleges use the FAFSA as the basis for their own financial aid awards. FAFSA assistance can be applied to certain study abroad programs.
