It's
about gathering and responding
to feedback about student learning.
Inquiry into student
learning will take place at a number of levels that are significant
to the student. You can frame this by thinking "what
does the student gain from our activities?" The easiest way to
imagine it is in terms of meaningful milestones in the student's
educational experience.
We will need to
investigate what students have learned during or after:
-
Attending MJC
(institution level)
-
Participating in a
program (ASMJC, Journalism, CARE, EOP&S)
-
Receiving a
service (Health Services, Food Services, Bookstore)
-
Earning Degrees
and Certificates (A.A. in Transfer Studies, Certificate: ARC
Welding)
-
Completing a
sequence of courses (Math 20, 70, 90, or the ESL sequences)
-
Enrolling in and
completing MJC courses (Computer Graphics 215)
