Attend this SLO training if: |
- you would like to
increase your knowledge of all 14 assessment tools and
practice making informed choices of which tools are
“best” for measuring the specific learning you want your
students to gain.

Learning Objectives |
-
Given a short presentation
of materials on learning assessment tools, participants
will identify the kind/type of learning desired (i.e.,
knowledge, skill, attitude, or behavior).
-
Given an opportunity to
actively participate in small group work, participants
will select and agree upon at least one appropriate
(“best”) tool to measure (assess) the targeted learning.

Given a short presentation
of materials and an opportunity to actively participate
in both small group work and large group discussion,
participants will build (specifically list on paper) a
course assessment toolbox.

Given an opportunity to
actively participate in this workshop, participants will
write a statement indicating their levels of confidence
and comfort in choosing tools to measure various
kinds/types of learning, creating an assessment toolbox
for their courses, and contributing this knowledge and
skill to their respective program/service area.
