What is the CTE Valley Sierra Collaborative?
The CTE Collaborative is a new approach to training students for the real world. It is designed to offer a regional approach to job skills training and hands-on experiences that prepare top-notch candidates for the local labor markets. The current focus is in renewable energies including home weatherization, wind and solar technologies, water management and conservation, transportation, and health occupations. Modesto Junior College, Merced, Delta and Columbia Colleges have partnered to provide career exploration and create pathways for students in new and emerging industries, and to offer professional development and internship opportunities for teachers.
