Off the Beat Hip Hop Concert
MJC's Theater & Dance students in a 2009 hip-hop production of "Off the Beat."

The MJC Arts Division serves the surrounding community by providing quality performing and visual arts experiences for audiences both young and experienced.  The Art Gallery presents six shows each year with an eclectic mix of media by local and international artists.

An outstanding community orchestra and band provide free and low cost concerts for students and area music lovers.  The Theatre and Dance Department produce seven events each year including comedies, dramas and modern, jazz and hip-hop dance concerts.

The Arts Division partners with on and off campus organizations to produce an annual calender of special events including international music ensembles, guest lecturers, political commentators and solo artists.

Looking to transfer to a four-year university? MJC's Arts, Humanities and Communications programs are the gateway to a wide range of popular majors. From journalism to art to theatre, you'll get a high-quality, high-touch academic experience from top faculty in a small classroom environment.

And many of our programs can also prepare you for a career today. Check out radio broadcasting, or courses in technical theatre design or television production.
