You are eligible if you are a New or Returning MJC student (you attended Fall 2008 or before) and you have not earned an Associate, Bachelor's or higher degree.
Step 1: If you have never attended MJC, or are returning after a one year absence, complete the admissions application. It is available at www.mjc.edu.
Step 2: Complete MJC assessments. Assessment includes a computerized English/reading test or a 45-minute ESL test for second language English speakers, and a math test. Assessment must be completed before a StartSmart reservation can be made.
Step 3: Phone 575-6087 to reserve your seat in the workshop (space is limited to 50 students per session so make your reservation early!). All sessions are scheduled to be held in early December on the East Campus in the Student Center Lounge. Appointments are required.
Step 4: Attend and complete the StartSmart orientation and advising workshop.
Step 5: Register for Spring 2010 classes with the help of MJC enrollment assistants immediately following your StartSmart workshop.
