Modesto is a unique community for a number of reasons not the least of which is the forty-seven year tradition of the Citizens Committee for International Students. This special organization, of Modesto residents, provides continuing support for students from outside the borders of the United States. Their special touch starts with housing and adjustment assistance and continues with special activities throughout the academic year.
