Drama Ink Club stages "Six Degrees of Laughter"

            Modesto Junior College Drama Ink Club presents the Performaholics in a "comedic tour de force" entitled "Six Degrees of Laughter!" on Thursday, September 11, Friday, September 12, and Saturday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theater, located inside the new Performing and Media Arts Center on MJC's East Campus. The show is comprised of six original short plays written, directed and acted by students. Tickets are $5 - $7 and will be available at the door. 

            Six Degrees of Laughter will feature the original comedies Kill Me, Doorman by Curtis Medina; May The Nini Be With You by Steven King; Self-Loathing by Robert Gress; School Dayz by Casey Hedrick; Lessons From Madam Butterfly by Jeffrey Carnegie, and Steak or Fish by Romeo Mora. 

            The Performaholics are a group of writers, actors and directors creating new content and performance art for the public to enjoy. Composed of community members and quite a few former and current MJC students, they are dedicated to creating fresh and innovative entertainment in Modesto and beyond.  Additional information is available online at www.myspace.com/performaholic

            Drama Ink is an active student club at MJC that functions as a fully operational production company.  Club members are interested in all forms of media and entertainment including theater, dance, music, film and television.  The club also seeks to partner with other community groups to promote synergy and cooperation that benefits the students, the arts and the community at large.  For more information visit the website www.myspace.com/dramaink.
