MJC Academic Calendar

Please note: Students may use the college's web-based registration system called PiratesNet or the college's touchtone registration system called T-Reg to add or drop classes. Both systems are available daily from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.

SUMMER 2008
Important From April 28th until August 14th, Modesto Junior College operates on a Summer energy efficiency calendar. Our offices are open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 until 5:30 p.m. The campus is closed on Friday.
May 5 Summer classes begin (Students who have not registered should attend class and ask instructor for an add card - if class is late starting, students can register until the night before the class begins, contact Admissions Office if you have questions 209-575-6855)
May 7 Last day for new and returning students to register in Summer classes and earn priority for Fall registration
May 15 Continuing student Fall registration dates and times posted on PiratesNet
May 18 Last day to add Full-Term Summer Class
May 18 Last day to drop full-term summer class on PiratesNet/Touchtone and be eligible for a refund (Admissions is closed; only PiratesNet and Touchtone are available from 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.)
May 23 Last day to file for Credit/No Credit (Pass/No Pass) for Full-Term Class
May 26 Holiday - Memorial Day
May 29 Last day to withdraw from full-term class without a "W" using PiratesNet or Touchtone. You may drop classes using either system until 11 p.m.
You may also drop classes in person in the Admissions Office until 5:30 p.m.
July 3-4 Holiday - Independence Day
June 4 Last day to file a request for refund for classes dropped by May 18th.
July 22 Last day to withdraw from full-term class in Admissions Office (until 5:30 p.m.), Pirates or touchtone registration until 11 p.m.
August 16 SUMMER SESSIONS END

For Short-term class deadline dates, please refer to your Schedule of Classes printed from PiratesNet. A full-term class is any class that begins the week of May 5 and ends the week of August 11. A short-term class is any class that does not meet the full-term class definition. Students can register on the date and time they are scheduled to register or any time thereafter during scheduled registration hours until the day before the class begins.

Fall 2008
Important Priority Registration for DSPS/EOPS/Veteran students begins June 2. Registration will continue until August 21, please contact Admissions Office if you have any questions at 209-575-6855.

 last day to add Full-Term classes on the Web (www.mjc.edu) or by telephone
Sept 7
 Last day to drop full-term classes on PiratesNet/Touchtone (online or telephone only) and be eligible for a refund. This is a Sunday, only PiratesNET & Telephone registration systems are available. You may drop classes using the system until 11:00 p.m.
Sept 21
 Last day to withdraw from full-term class without a "W" using PiratesNet or Touchtone. You may drop classes using either system until 11 p.m. You may also drop classes in person in the Admissions Office until 5:30 p.m.
Sept 22
 Last day to file "Request for Refund" for classes dropped by September 7
Sept 23
