Dance Department presents Jam ‘n Jive: At the Grammy’s 2017

Modesto Junior College Department of Dance presents “Jam ‘n Jive: At the Grammy’s 2017” on September 20, 21, 22, and 23 at 7 p.m. in the Main Auditorium of the Performing and Media Arts Center on East Campus, 435 College Avenue, Modesto. MJC Off-Balance Dancers

The evening will feature a variety of jazz dance choreography set to music from the 2017 Grammy Award Winners.   

In addition to MJC’s Off-Balance Dancers, the high schools involved in this year’s Jam ‘n Jive concert are Beyer, Central Catholic, Central Valley, Ceres, Davis, Downey, Gregori and Modesto.  Also performing are the private dance studios of 5678 Dance, Backstage Dance Academy, Imbue, Modesto Academy of Dance, Strut Performing Arts and Westside Dance Ministries. 

“This is a great family night out supporting your local dance community,” said Kim T. Davis, MJC professor of dance.

Admission is $11 general and $9 for students and senior citizens.  Tickets are available online at http://mjc.tix.com and at the Auditorium Box Office, or by calling 575-6776 during Box Office hours: Tuesdays through Fridays, 12 noon to 5 p.m.   Tickets are also available at the door beginning 90 minutes prior to each performance.
