The Modesto Junior College Friends of Music concert series will present a Faculty Recital on Thursday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the MJC Music Recital Hall on East Campus, 435 College Avenue in Modesto.
The concert will feature performances by MJC music faculty members David Chapman, guitar; Robert Scott, clarinet; Travis Silvers, guitar; and Alejandro Sabre, piano.
The program will include music by Johannes Brahms, Leo Brouwer, Morton Gould, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert and Takashi Yoshimatsu.
Tickets are $12 general admission and $10 for students and seniors (62 and better). Advance tickets are available online at www.mjc.tix.com or at the Auditorium Box Office which is open Tuesday through Friday, from 12 noon to 5 p.m., or by calling (209) 575-6776 during Box Office hours. Tickets will also be available in the Music Recital Hall beginning 90 minutes prior to the concert.The campus and community are invited to an evening of classic music, with concert proceeds used to support the programs of the MJC Music Department and provide music student scholarships.
