The MJC Graphic Standards Committee began last spring to discuss how the college could build a more “branded look” for the institution’s publications, website, advertising and other marketing materials. One idea was to update the MJC logo to include the full name of the college as part of the official artwork.

A subcommittee of graphic technicians presented the Graphic Standards Committee with a variety of choices and eventually a new “swish” was added to complete the look of the updated logo. Additionally, the Public Information Office selected “I am MJC” as the marketing slogan for the 2004-05 academic year, and this theme is now being used in the college’s advertising, publications, website, and other materials.

The MJC community is urged to access and use the new “swish logo” on all college materials - particularly anything that will be viewed off campus or outside of a classroom.
