In the Division of Literature and Language Arts, students are encouraged to improve their writing and verbal skills to develop a better understanding of themselves, their own culture, and the cultures and languages of other non-English speaking peoples. The Division has five major areas of concentration: English, English as a Second Language, Foreign Languages, Reading, and American Sign Language. In addition, we have developed several unique programs for students and our community at large.
