Requirements to enter the Program

• English 101 eligibility
  
• 3.25 Community College GPA (12 units) or 3.5 credentialed High School GPA or recent 1050 SAT or recent 25 ACT*
  
• One letter of recommendation (see application)
  
• One ‘statement of purpose' 500 word-essay (see application)
  

Requirements to stay in the Program

• Attend honors orientation before first honors semester
  
• Complete English 101 by the end of your fi rst honors semester
  
• Maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA
  
• Attend on-campus academic and cultural activities each semester
  
• Attend one off -campus academic or cultural activity each year
  
• Attempt at least one honors contract a year
  

Requirements to complete the Program

• 15 honors enhanced transferable units
  
• 3.25 cumulative GPA
  
• Fill out Honors experience survey
  

* For students who are not recent community college students nor recent high school students or for students who do not meet the entrance requirements, see honors coordinator for alternate entrance requirements. Recent is defined as within 3 years.
