The Transfer Center offers the workshops listed below to help you with the transfer process.  Additionally, we have four-year campus representatives visting our campus ready to meet with you to answer your transfer questions. Check the master calendar of events to find out dates and times for all activities offered through the center.

Test-Taking Strategies Workshop

Do you have test anxiety?  Tests are a big part of your life as a student.  In fact, you probably have to take a major exam to be admitted to your future career.  The good news is that test-taking is a skill that can be improved.  No matter how you did on your last test, you can learn strategies to help you do better on the next one.  This workshop will help.  Are you as prepared as you can be for exams?  Learn strategies and tips for test-taking and overcoming anxiety at this workshop.

 

Stanislaus State Liberal Studies Workshop

Ed Plan - What is it & Why do I need one? Workshop

Are you undecided about your major?  Picking a college major is on eof the most important things you will do in your college career.  It will not only affect your future career, but whether or not you will be happy in your future job.  Attend this major to get started on choosing a major.

Transfer Q & A Workshop

Do you have questions about transferring?  How many units do I need? What is the GE patteren?  What is the IGETC Pattern? Which pattern do I follow?  What GPA do I need?  What is a TAG-Transfer Admission Guarantee? When do I apply?  How do I apply? How do I know what colleges offer my major?  Any questions that you have about transfer will be answered at this workshop.

Find out how to write a winning Personal Statement. UC representative will go over the purpose of the Personal Statement and will discuss what UC admissions personnel are hoping to find out about you through it.  He will also cover what you should and should not include. This workshop will also cover the UC application process
