Students can also participate in curriculum-specific information literacy instruction sessions arranged by their instructors or enroll in formal Library Research courses that emphasize the research process and information literacy skills.
Mission
Knowledgeable Library faculty and staff work together to create a user-focused environment that is a center for academic pursuits at Modesto Junior College. By providing equitable access to information, services, and facilities, we foster intellectual inquisitiveness and facilitate effective teaching, study, reflection, and lifelong learning. We promote information literacy through courses, bibliographic instruction sessions with classes, and one-on-one instruction within the library.
