The faculty and staff at MJC are here to ensure your success, every step of the way. From smaller classrooms and caring faculty to special support programs for students with unique needs, we provide everything you need to get where you want to go!
Cost: MJC is the most cost-effective way to earn a degree or take under graduate courses. At $20 per unit, student fees at California's community colleges are currently the lowest in the nation. In comparison, CSU students pay about $3000 per year and UC students pay about $7000 for tuition alone.
Location: Nearly half of our students live in Modesto, making MJC easily accessible to many of those who live and work in the surrounding area. This is a major convenience and cost savings for MJC students.
Job Training: MJC has nearly 100 Vocational Certificate and Skills Recognition programs. These programs provide job training typically without requiring students to take general education classes that do not relate to their area of study.
Non-Traditional Options: MJC offers classes in the evening, on weekends and online. Hybrid classes are online classes that have limited, but regularly scheduled, classroom meetings. Tele-courses let students watch videos or DVD's at home and then completes assignments.
World-Class Programs: MJC's Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Department is an international leader in agricultural education. Our healthcare programs are second to none. If you're looking for quality, look no further!
