

The cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) Program is a supplemental component of Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOP&S). CARE is designed to provide educational and economic support services above and beyond what is provided through county and campus support services to single parents who have a child 13 years of age or younger, and are receiving TANF. CARE services include:
CARE students benefit from a variety of academic and economic services. CARE strives to enhance self-esteem, develop college skills, and assist students in achieving their academic goals. Many of our students not only benefit from the services provided, many go farther than they dreamed possible.
CARE Workshops provide students the chance to learn about self esteem issues, parenting skills, study skills, ways to get motivated, and role models.

The CARE Council is a 10 person student advisory council made up of CARE students. Students meet once a week with the CARE Program Coordinator and discuss program ideas and the best approches to helping students. CARE council members also serve as a peer mentor to CARE students. Each council member has 4-5 students assigned to them that they check in with on a weekly basis.
Throughout the school year CARE host s variety of different activities that CARE students can bring their children to. Events include the annual Pumpkin Party, Christmas Party, Velentine's Party, and Easter Bunny Party.




Each semester the student of CARE pick a community service project to work on as a program. The driving principle is highlighting the importance of civic engagement as well as giving back to a community that gives so much to the program.
