This moving one-woman play by William Luce is based on the life of Emily Dickenson, as taken from her letters and poems. It tells a story of significant relationships in her life, her attempts to publish her poems, and how she withdrew from society for more than 30 years. He meets Mabel, daughter of the Major General, and falls madly in love. The boy, however, discovers he was born on February 29 (leap year) and because he cannot leave the pirates until his 21st birthday, must wait 63 years to be set free. Yet Mabel agrees to wait!

April 15 (Friday) 34th Annual New Music Concert, 7:30 p.m., Auditorium, free ~ The concert will feature student composers and winners from the 34th Celebration of the Humanities contest, with the work of local and faculty composers highlighted as well.

April 21 (Thursday) MJC Choral and Vocal Extravaganza, 7:30 p.m., Auditorium, $4 students / $5 general admission. The program features the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Masterworks Chorus and soloists from the MJC Music Program.
April 26 (Tuesday) MJC Masterworks Chorus Spring Sing!, 7:30 p.m., Auditorium, $4 students / $5 general admission. The chorus will perform selected masterpieces including a set of choral art songs called Zigeunerlieder (Gypsy Songs), Opus 103 by Brahms and the Wedding Cantata by Pinkham.

This dramatic play deals with a culture clash and the ritualistic battle between the two iconic characters, Blanche DuBois, a fading Southern belle of the Old South, and Stanley Kowalski, a rising member of the industrial, urban working class.
