Institutional Effectiveness

Research and Planning

Mission and Focus

The MJC Office of Research and Planning establishes baseline data, conducts primary research (qualitative and quantitative), prepares analytical reports, and supplies data and analysis to support College planning and decision making. Our analysis work involves designing, developing, and completing interpretive studies, maintaining a leading-edge institutional data dashboard, as well as timely provision of accurate, current, actionable and relevant institutional data to the MJC campus community and other interested stakeholders.

The Office has core professional expertise in the assessment of academic and institutional quality. It serves as a primary source of consultation and guidance on development of institutional plans for assessment and reporting Institutional Effectiveness.

The Office has produced the 2017 MJC Institutional Data Factbook, with detailed data analysis in areas of student enrollment, equity, educational achievement, and survey research (CCSSE results).
